Impact on daily life

Impact. 10th December
There was an allergy reaction from two NHS staff who got the vaccine.
Now there are new rules that people with allergies should not have the Pfizer vaccine.  They will work out what caused the reaction.
From 1st January, UK holidaymakers will not be allowed to travel to the EU because of the virus.  Only a small number of countries are allowed to go into the EU.  When Britain finally leaves on 31st December, they will be outside the EU.  Britain has high rates of the virus and the EU will not allow people to go there unless for health or care work or for urgent family reasons.
Air pollution has got worse again.  It is even worse than before the pandemic.  We know that that air quality got better when there was the first lockdown but now it has gone up again in most cities.  They tested 49 UK cities.  Health experts say bad air quality increases the risks from Covid.  The problem comes from more people using their private cars.  Remember the Government said not to use public transport.  Many buses have only a small number of passengers and not so many people travel by train.
Grenfell Tower Fire investigation is continuing.  Evidence shows that the company responsible for the cladding – it went on fire – tried to persuade Government people that their cladding was safe.  They also set up biased trials of cladding from other companies to try to show their cladding would burn as well.  It looks suspicious.  They do not want to accept responsibility.
