Impact on daily life

UK News 22nd April
Briefing scrapped

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been daily briefings by health experts and the Government.  Useful?  It would be good if they have a BSL interpreter.  The room was too small, Boris said.  So they built a new press briefing room – you have seen it .. two big flags – looks like Washington USA.  It cost £2.6 million to fix it up.  Now Boris scraps the idea for daily briefing.  That was a good use of the public money.
UK wants to cut the greenhouse gas – easy way is for people to reduce meat, cheese and butter.  How come that helps the environment?  Cows and animals when they are out in the field produce a lot of gas from eating.  But the big problem is that countries like Brazil cut down trees so that they can have more cows.  The sell loads of beef to big companies to make burgers.  We cook burgers on the barbecue.  Reduce by 20% and we will help the environment.
Third wave
UK Experts now say that they expect a third wave
of the covid in the summer.  They want to slow down the Government plans for opening up.  The experts say not enough people have the vaccine.  They think many people can get ill if they are able to meet up close together.
