Impact on daily life

UK News  19 February
Covid infections coming down fast. A college study says numbers are down by 2/3rd in England and 80% in London.  It seems that in January social distancing and lockdown restrictions are working.  There are 20,000 Covid patients in hospitals. The figures are more positive but there are risks.  We have to await until Monday February 22nd to find out if restrictions will be lifted.
UK Government Budget will be announced on March 3rd. What will it look like after Covid?  More taxes? Chancellor Rishi Sunak will announce new plans.
Labour leader Starmer says millions of  people who have saved money could invest to help set up new companies. This can help UK economy recover faster.  There can be pay rises for key workers. The Conservative Party say Stanmer stole their ideas. UK debt is huge – now £2.13 trillion.
A man about 30 years old was offered a Covid vaccine.  Why? NHS thought he was 6.2 cm tall and fat. NHS records had wrong information and thought he was obese. But he is just an ordinary man. He did not take vaccine to let others have it first.
Prince Philip spends another night in hospital. Nothing to do with Covid.  Just for a rest and checks for a few more days. The Queen and Prince had their vaccinations and they spend their time in Windsor Castle with small staff. Joke – it is called HMS Bubble – (Her Majesty Service).
