Impact on daily life

Impact 1st June
RNLI – the Lifeboat Institute – they save people when boats are sinking.  But they also provide lifeguards on the beaches.  They say no one told them that the lockdown was changing and when people went to the beach there were no lifeguards on patrol.  A girl drowned last week.  Now they say there is not enough funding to properly safeguard the beaches.  Only 19 of the 250 beaches will have lifeguards in place this week.
In England, dentists are back in business on 8th June, but many can’t pull your teeth because they have no PPE.  You can buy a car now and a house, but hairdressers and pubs still waiting.  Majority of people in a survey, do not think it is safe yet.
At the same time, people are travelling to beaches and these   crowded with no chance to have social distance (see photos)
Drive-in Movies, drive-in comedy and even raves.  It is all kicking off now.  Films like Grease, Toy Story will be shown in car parks of Birmingham Airport, Edinburgh Zoo and then around the country from July.  There will be bingo and ‘silent car discos.  Interesting to see how they involve deaf people.

Too many people going to Durdle Door in South of England
On the beach – no social distance
