Anger because the Government used Twitter to give out details about lockdowns. The arrangements for quarantine last week – related to Spain. Hancock the health minister was on TV to say people had to be in quarantine for 14 days when they arrive from Spain. But the reasons for this were not given by him. They were sent out on Twitter. Other MPs objected to this.
Health experts are worried about the increases in cases. They think the Government went too fast to remove lockdown and now the Government is panicking with new lockdowns. They say they should not have reduced lockdown when there was not a proper test and trace working and when there were not enough tests available and not enough protective equipment. Now ordinary people are just fed up and do not have trust. The North West of England has the most cases and the mayor says this is because people are in low paid jobs and have to go to work to have money. The jobs often have close contact with other people, so the chances of catching the virus are higher.
The decision to change the rules about people being in social distance came too late last week as Muslins were celebrating the Eid Festival. The religious festivals runs from Thursday night through to Monday. The Muslim ministers were not consulted or told in advance.
There are many new pop-up cafes and food stalls appearing so that people can get snack and meals outside. There could be more but people with food vans have to apply for licences for each local authority and it costs about £180.
