UK News 5th May. A new research study of deaf and hard of hearing health workers had information from 83 people working in health care.  Eighteen were doctors and 15 were nurses.  They were worried they could make mistakes because of communication difficulties.  This was because other staff and patients had masks covering their faces.  Only 9 people had see through masks.  The other doctors said the see through masks were not up to standard to prevent covid.  NHS did not meet the communication needs of 78% of the health workers.  One third are thinking of leaving – if the situation does not improve. 
Lockdown is changing and it is possible for people in care homes to visit outside.  There are many checks to carry out but now there is more freedom.
Doctors are planning to quit
For months and months, doctors have to work under huge pressure.  The British Medical Association asked 2 thousand about their plans:  25% said they will work less hours; 25% want a career break; and 21% said they will quit.  This is bad news for NHS.

Wednesday night there will be a shooting stars.  There could be 50 meteors per hour.  They are linked to Halley’s comet which passes every 75 years.  The meteors travel at 150 thousand miles per hour.  They burn up when they come into the atmosphere of the earth.  That’s a relief!  It could be dangerous.  Different story – Scientists are worried about part of a Chinese rocket  – it is out of control and will fall to earth soon.  It will not burn up – it is too big and can cause a lot of damage.  Scientists are angry that the Chinese allowed this to happen.  They do not know where it will land.
