Hotel quarantine for overseas travellers into UK will start soon
Plan for February 15.  UK travellers back from hotspots abroad must stay quarantine in hotels. Hotel owners will provide accommodation to more than 1000 people every day.  A lot of anger because the Government took one month to arrange this.  Too slow.  Should have stopped different virus versions from abroad.
Government Chief Lawyer can take longer maternity leave
Suella Braveman is a top legal advisor for the Crown and Government.  She is pregnant with her second child. Government introduced a new law to give her 6 months full pay not 3 months. Means this is more valuable time for her baby.  She does not leave her job.  It is the same for civil servants. More fair, more equal.
Oxford University is accepting more ethnic minority students
In 2020, 24% students from UK accepted were Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.  in 2019, it was 22%. Oxford University worked very hard to reach out to students through social media.  Other universities must work harder to get them in. Why? In the past, admission was more for only people from higher social backgrounds.
