Impact on daily life

Impact 5th June
The Alzheimers Society now believe that the lockdown is having a huge effect on people with dementia.  A very large proportion of deaths are happening in homes where people with dementia are residents.  The managers of the homes believe that because relatives cannot visit, and staff now have to wear masks, that people with dementia are unable to have their normal routines.  They do not understand the changes and and become more upset by this.  As usual, the Government says that they are doing everything to make sure all care homes can have tests.  The Alzheimers Society says that is not dealing with the special problems for dementia.
