Students are revolting.  Now in Bristol first year students are going on a rent strike and will refuse to pay their rent.  They want students who prefer to go home now, to get released from their rent contract and to have a refunds.  For those who stay they want a 30% reduction in rent.  Similar action is happening in Glasgow and Cambridge.
Marcus Rashford, footballer at Manchester United, is still pressing the Government to provide free school meals in school holidays.  The Government refused saying people had to apply through Universal Credit (benefits).  Now Rashford petition has nearly 300 thousand people signed up in support.
The EU still wants to have a deal with the UK over Brexit and has agreed to demands from the UK about how to make quick progress.  But the UK Government has refused to start talks.  Instead they are telling business to prepare for No Deal.  The businesses say this is crazy as they have not enough information about what is required and they are stuck in the middle of the Covid crisis.  They do not believe they can make preparations in the time that is left.
