Impact on daily life

Everyone agrees that you need to know if you have the virus or have recovered and if you have been in contact with someone who has the virus.  We have to test people and trace their contacts and isolate them. Many countries have strong systems to do this.  UK is just starting.  Government says they have over 20,000 extra people to help with this but they are not trained yet and the systems is not running yet.  We need the system so we can feel safe after lockdown.
There is a new app to check for virus.  Tests are on the Isle of Wight – good and bad. Good because a lot of people have downloaded the app; not so good because it is not clear that Isle of Wight will be the same as other parts of the country.  There is a worry that UK decided to use a different system to other countries.
Not surprised?  Unemployment is rising. Experts say could reach 10% with young people most at risk.  At the same time, clothes shops are planning to be open again.  Newspapers say there could be bumper sales because the shops have to sell off a lot of clothes out of season.
