Covid update – UK has given the vaccine to over 17 million people. There is evidence that vaccines are reducing the spread of Covid. Admission to hospitals and new Covid cases are reducing. Boris says everyone in UK will have a vaccine by 31st July – one month ahead of the plan. 
Boris is working on his Roadmap to ease lockdown restrictions. He submitted his proposals to the cabinet on Sunday morning for approval.  He will make an announcement to the House of Commons on Monday. It is possible families can mix outdoors by Easter. Also non-essential shops could be allowed to open.
Government wants schools in England to open on 8th March. There is objection from parents, teachers and unions.  They say it is dangerous.  They wants a phased return – some age groups and slowly. Welsh and Scottish children age 3 to 7 years start a slow return on Monday.
A swimming teacher from Yorkshire has rowed across the Atlantic in 70 days.  She went from the Canary Islands to Antigua.  That is 3 thousand miles.  She is only 21 years old.
Prince Charles visited his father, the Duke of Edinburgh, who is in hospital. Under England’s coronavirus rules, visiting someone in hospital is a reasonable excuse to leave home.  He went 90 miles from his home in Gloucestershire.  But the private hospital only accepts visits in emergency.  The officials say it is not an emergency.
