All children in England may return to school today, 8th March.  Many secondary schools have delayed because of the need to carry out lateral flow tests  three times in the first two weeks.  Experts say the tests are not reliable and many parents have not agreed to have the tests.  The Prime Minister has said the schools will receive 57 million Covid test packs.  These are for secondary school children – there are only around 4 million secondary school children – what will they do with all these test packs?
NHS may have one million long-covid cases.  Long-covid affects many different parts of the body and can change over time.  The Government promised to set up special units to help people with long-covid.  Many of the centres are not working.  People report that they are having to cope on their own as GPs cannot give support.  No one seems to know how to manage long-covid.
Kate Sinclair a BSL interpreter in the Northern Ireland regular covid briefings has encouraged her 3 children to use social media to teach BSL. Thousands have taken up BSL on-line during the lockdown. This is probably due people seeing BSL interpreters on all public briefings.
Glasgow Rangers won the league for the first time in 10 years.  The celebrations were upset because of large crowds of fans letting off fireworks and smoke bombs. Gatherings of more than 2 people outside the home during the lockdown is banned by the Scottish Government.
