Test and trace system is not working to contact enough people in areas where there are high numbers of virus cases.  In some places they can only trace half the people who were in contact with someone with the virus.  Big argument between local health services and Government.  Why?  Government decided to give contract (money) to independent company to set up the testing and tracking.  They are not linked to the local services which have to respond to the virus.  Local Authorities receive vague information about the numbers of people affected and who has been traced but not the precise information they need to work with local people.  There is frustration from local services.  They said at the start that local services should be responsible for testing and tracing not commercial companies.
During lockdown, there was 80% increase in the number of calls made to a helpline for abuse.  As lockdown is less, there is now an increase in women asking for refuge to get away from the abuse.  There were many cases of men drinking more when they stayed at home and then becoming violent to the family.  Women were locked in with partners who abused them emotionally by cruel language.  Women often have nowhere to escape as they have no money and this is worse for refugee families as the woman does not qualify for Government help.  It is a very bad situation for many people.
Liverpool win the Premier league and collect the trophy.  They beat Chelsea 5-3 in the game last night.
