Impact on daily life

Impact 14th September
Government has made a Bill which changes the withdrawal treaty for leaving the EU.  This treaty (legal contract) was agreed last year.  Boris won his election in December because he said he had agreed the deal.  In January Boris then signed the papers for the deal.  This is now an international treaty (law) and it includes special arrangements for Northern Ireland.  Now Boris wants to change parts of it.  The EU says the UK is breaking the law and they will be taken to International Court.  The Government in Ireland is upset and most senior people now consider that his is very bad for Britain because no one will trust the UK after this.  The Government is refusing to back down and there will be a debate in Parliament about this today.  If the UK goes ahead it is likely that there will be a no-deal Brexit in December.
Remember when you had to cancel your flight because of the virus.  You were supposed to get money back but then you only got a voucher.  Well now looks like it is hard to use the voucher to book a new flight.  For many people, you have to make phone call (if you can get through) and then you can go online to try to re-book your flights but it is not flexible and you have to book for the same conditions as the original and things like baggage can’t be included.
Do you have a mask?  Most people have one.  But there are a vast number of disposable masks out there.  These disposable masks contain plastic which pollute water and which can harm the birds and animals which can get tangled up in them.  The Green Party wants people to have their own masks which can be cleaned and used again and again.
