Covid update Sunday:   Over 20 Million people have now received their first covid-19 jab. Hospital admissions and new cases of Covid-19 are reducing. The Prime Minister hopes every adult in the UK will have the jab by the end of July. There are six cases of the Brazilian Covid version in UK – 3 in England and 3 in Scotland. 
On 3rd March, Rishi Sunak the UK Chancellor will give his budget. Some newspapers say is planning to increase income tax by £6 billion to pay for the Covid bill. There are a number of other predictions.  We have to wait until Wednesday.  The Chancellor has to find an extra £43 billion so that he can avoid a financial crisis.
On Saturday there was the funeral of Captain Sir Tom Moore. He was carried into church by 6 soldiers from the Yorkshire Regiment. Only 8 mourners from his close family were allowed to attend.  Sir Tom raised nearly £40 million for NHS charities. His family have started a Trees for Tom fund through the Woodland Trust.  They want a Captain Tom Forest in England.  
Professor John Mallard inventor of the MRI scanner, has died age 94. He made the scanner using copper pipe from a local plumber and tube from a children’s play park.   Doctors were able to scan a man with cancer for the first time in 1980 using a mock-up MRI scanner.
Children should watch television with the subtitles. Celebrities including Sir Lenny Henry, Stephen Fry and Philip Schofield have a campaign to have subtitles on all children’s TV programmes.
GPs need to give more cervical cancer checks. They can save lives if they catch Cervical cancer in time.
1st of March is St David’s day and there will be extra celebrations in Wales after they beat England 40 – 24.  They won the Triple Crown.  Wales are on their way to winning the Grand Slam – just have to beat France.
