Government blamed – too slow put India on red list

Government put Pakistan and Bangladesh on red list, but not India.  Travelers were able to leave the airport and travel home and spread the virus. They tested over 3,000 people and 5% had the virus.  Government was much too late to stop the spread of the Indian variant. 
Two houses collapse in gas explosion – 4 adults injured, a child died
There was a house explosion in Heysham, near Blackpool.  About 40 people had to leave their homes.    Fire service is trying to find out the cause.
Rangers football fans celebrate – 28 arrested and 5 police injured.
In Glasgow Rangers football fans marched to the city centre to celebrate Rangers winning the Scottish League for the first time in 10 years. They set off fireworks and threw missiles at the police. Glasgow is under level 3 lockdown and outdoor gatherings are banned. It took 5 hours for the police get the situation under control.  First Minister Nicola Sturgeon was disgusted by the fans.   Police will arrest more people.
Silence at football matches for boy killed by lightning
Last week in Blackpool, lightning killed 9 year old Jordan Banks.  He was playing football. Family say he was an amazing little man.  He could be a great footballer.
