There is a new vaccine coming to the UK – Novavax.  It will be produced in the UK and PM Boris says there will be about 60 million doses.  They are waiting for approval by the medicines agency.
The Government has refused to give money to the company Liberty Steel.  There is a finance crisis in the company.  This was caused by another company going bust.  The other company was giving money to Liberty Steel.   Liberty Steel do not have enough money now to support their steel works in the UK and in other countries.  There is a big worry that Liberty Steel will collapse and 5,000 jobs are at risk.  In the past, UK had a very large steel industry but for many years it has been getting smaller and smaller.
In Scotland, the SNP are planning to increase the child benefit up to £20 for each child under 16 years.  This is good news for families who are living in poverty.  First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon announced the plan in a speech.   She attacked Boris Johnson and the Conservatives but ignored the Labour Party.  The voters have turned away from the Labour Party.  It used to be the main party in Scotland.  We will see a lot more on this because there will be elections in May.
You don’t have to go to the post office to send a parcel.  Now the Royal Mail will come to your house and collect the parcel.  You only have to pay the postage, not the collection charge.  Other companies also offer a pick up service.  It looks like there is going to be price war and more companies fighting for your parcels.
