Covid update: 
deaths and hospital admissions in UK are going down. Vaccine numbers are increasing in the UK. The Government wants to give the vaccine to 5 million people  every  week. British researchers have found a Canadian anti-covid nasal spray which may reduce the impact of the virus on patients. In Canada, you can buy the nasal spray from the chemist. 
Harry and Meghan will give financial support to a number of charities in the UK including MIND.  The charities work on mental health.  A presenter, Piers Morgan, on television walked off the programme.  He said Meghan lied.  Many organisations are very angry at him.  The public sent 41 thousand complaints.
Farmers have accused the sugar firm Tate & Lyle of misleading shoppers by putting a “Made in Britain” logo with a Union flag logo on its packaging. The National Farmers Union (NFU) has said the American owned company uses foreign sugar cane. NFU claims British farmers produce 50% of all sugar in the UK market.
Potatoes are the best loved vegetable in UK.  When they go bad, more people throw them away. Supermarkets now will sell unwashed “muddy” potatoes. This will be better for the potatoes.  Experts say potatoes keep for longer if they are in a dark, dry place.  Dirty potatoes will help – there will be less waste – just more dirty hands.
