More UK companies moving work to the EU

Because of all the paper work after Brexit, large numbers of companies are setting up business inside EU. By 1st January, over 500 were planning to set up in Netherlands. That’s great …. Except it means they will lose jobs in UK because the work will be in the EU
UK visa for Hong Kong people
Starting Sunday, Hong Kong people can apply for a special visa to leave Hong Kong and settle in the UK. China has imposed strict laws. UK says this breaks the 1997 agreement. The new visa allows people (and family) to stay for 5 years in UK. There could be 300 thousand people coming to UK. They can apply to be UK citizens.
UK is applying to join CPTPP. Oh … CPTPP is the “Comprehensive and Progressive Trans Pacific Partnership”. OK OK .. we just use CPTPP .. it includes New Zealand, Japan, Mexico and Vietnam. It will make it easier to have trade and will reduce the taxes on the goods. But it is quite a long way to travel.
On Covid Boris still wants all schools to open at the same timeWe shall see .. it depends on controlling the virus. Teachers are under a lot of stress. Captain Tom Moore – he raised £33 million by walking with his zimmer – he is in hospital with the virus. Record number of vaccines given on Saturday – over 600 thousand.
