Labour party asks Standards commission to investigate Boris’s flat

There are now many investigations about how the Government has been giving contracts to friends.  But the Labour Party is now attacking PM Boris over the costs of the flat in Downing Street.  There are rules about how much to spend and about when you have to tell the Standards Commission, who has paid for the work.    They believe that PM Boris has not followed the rules.  He could be forced to resign.
Women are taking over as representatives of the UK

Problems with Border Force cause long delays at Heathrow
The boss of Heathrow says big delays at Heathrow are caused by the Border Force – Customs – they have to check that people have the covid tests or vaccines.  The process is very slow.  The Heathrow boss says that they have the same numbers of staff as usual and less people coming in.  So there should be no problem.  But there is. It will be much worse on 17th May if the Government allows all travel to start again.
Many healthcare workers are not confident to have vaccine
This was a large study of 11 thousand staff in health care including dental and staff in chemists.  The results say nearly one quarter of staff are not sure about the vaccine.  Many are from black and ethnic minorities.  The reasons are that they are suspicious of the vaccine – developed too fast;  not been tested for minority groups. Some think they are immune because they had covid last year.
