Doctors in London have discovered that some children have developed a rare but very serious illness from the virus.  They have a high fever, rash, red eyes, swelling and general pain.  In the past this illness was only children under 5 years but now with the virus it attacks some children up to 16 years.  This is still a very small number and most recover when in hospital but doctors are worried.
The Teachers Unions say that schools cannot be ready to open again on June 1st.  The school  buildings and classrooms are not set up in the right way.  Children have to be kept separate and that will be impossible.  Teachers also are at risk of catching the virus.  Many teachers have to stay at home to look after relatives or partners.

Garden centres are now open for people.  It was a big problem when there was lockdown.  One big company had to throw away 450 million plants because they could not be sold.  Gardeners said that it was frustrating because it has been very good weather for springtime and they have not been able to plant the vegetables and flowers, they wanted to.  They say this affects 20 million people who are interested in gardening in the UK.
In lockdown, police are not to arrest people but can give out fines.  There are 3 other things:
* Detain someone;  make them have a virus test
* Close businesses, shops that are not necessary
* Restrict a person’s right to move around or be part of a group
