Impact on daily life

Impact 24th July
Everyone has to wear a mask in shops from today.  See the special explanation on deafstation.  This is to protect other people not to protect you.
Government is setting up two new centres in Essex and in Oxfordshire to make the vaccine for the virus.  They will be ready in 2021 and will make enough vaccine for all of the UK.
Some positive news that sales in shops were up by 14% in June.  This means more people have been buying than was expected.  Biggest areas were DIY and home improvement …. People have time at home to paint the rooms and fix the garden fence.
Another worry.  Because of school closures, many children will not catch up … ever.  This will make those pupils will be not able to have high level jobs and that means they will earn less money.  The Royal Society (which involves all the high level professions) is worried about education.
