Record numbers of covid cases

Schools exams problems
The latest Boris lockdown is creating major problems for schools exams.  The government talked about the GCSE and A- level exams in the summer but there are BTEC exams happening now in January and also mock exams.  Students has been preparing for these starting on Wednesday but by Tuesday evening, they have been cancelled
School lessons on TV
BBC says they will offer TV programmes for schools from next week.  They did have lessons in the last lockdown on i-player.  Now we know many children do not have access to the Internet.  BBC will have the lessons on ordinary television as well.  Three hours for primary children on CBBC and 2 hours for secondary kids on BBC2.
Train timetable reduced
Because of lockdown, the number of trains will be cut by half.  People are not travelling when there is lockdown.
Lockdown is the law
“Stay at home” will become the law in Northern Ireland by Friday this week.  This means that police can catch people who are out and about without a good reason.  They will be fined.
