Care homes think they need an extra £500 million if they have to make their care homes Covid-safe before Christmas.  That would allow relatives to visit.  This money would reduce the need for staff to move between care homes as well as  buying all the extra PPE that they need.
Every Wednesday the Prime Minister has to come to parliament to answer questions.  This week was different because Boris was self isolating because of the meeting he had with MPs – one had the virus.  He appeared by video call.  He was accused by Labour of being the threat to the future of the UK, because he said devolution was a disaster.  This made Welsh and Scottish people angry and they said he did not understand.  Boris just refused to answer the question but said he thought the Scottish National Party (SNP) was a disaster because they wanted to have independence.  He is probably making the SNP stronger because of what he says.
There is a lot of talk about how to make Christmas like normal, so that families can meet up.  To make that happen, there could be stronger virus restrictions before Christmas to try to get the virus under control.  There will be new rules from 3rd December but MPs will need to agree on it.  Many want shops to be open again and even pubs and restaurants.  Health experts are saying we have to be very careful as the virus has not gone away.

A new service “Santascallingyou” will let children have a video call with Santa and meet with Mrs Claus and the elves.  Santa will get some details on the child in advance so that the video can be more personal.
