The Queen is back to normal duties
The Queen went to visit the Royal Navy’s new Aircraft Carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth in Portsmouth. It cost £3.2 billion. She flew from Windsor in a helicopter and landed on the deck. In 2014 the Queen launched the £3.2 billion aircraft carrier by smashing a bottle of expensive Islay Malt Whisky.  What a waste! The flight deck of the aircraft carrier is the size of 3 football pitches and can carry 72 fighter bombers.
UK Covid update
Nearly 38 million people in UK have their 1st jab and 22.5 million their 2nd Jab.  The Government hopes that all restrictions can be removed on ‘Freedom Day’ 21st June.
Prince William has good and sad memories of Scotland
Prince William the Duke of Cambridge said Scotland is the source of some of his happiest memories and his saddest. He was in Balmoral when he learned his mother had died. He was in shock but he had support from the Crathie church.  They had a special service.  He was able to spend time walking in the hills.  Sad.  But he met his wife when he was a student at St Andrew’s University.  He says his grandmother, the Queen loves Balmoral.
Good news if you booked to go into Space with Richard Branson
Virgin Galactic space plane has passed three key test flights.  Two pilots flew to a height of 55 miles and then glided back down to Earth safely. There are 600 customers who paid for seats to fly into space. They had to wait a while but now the space plane is nearly ready.
