Vaccine progress in UK
They say 1.3 million vaccines have been given to people in UK so far. You may be wondering when you will be able to have the vaccine. There is a strict system and sequence
- Older people in care homes and their carers
- 80-year-olds and over and frontline health and social care workers
- 75-year-olds and over
- 70-year-olds and over and extremely vulnerable
The Government says these groups will have the vaccine by February. Health experts say this may be OK if everything works smoothly. It means there will be 2 million vaccines given each week. Once they have the vaccine treatment, they will need to wait 3 weeks before they have the full protection. That looks like March. After the four groups it will be the next younger age groups who will have the vaccine

That makes 10 people who have died. The houses should not be built in that area where the ground can become soft and easily move.
