Around 15 thousand people tuned up in Central London to protest about the Government rules about masks and distancing. Police moved in because the protesters did not wear masks and did not keep distance. Sixteen were arrested and some police were hurt. Many people in the crowd believe the virus is a hoax. They say the rules affect their human rights even though they are designed to prevent the spread of the virus.
The Government is trying to help people and business to keep going during the virus. But they are paying out a huge amount of money. They do not have this money. So they are borrowing it. It is billions of pounds in the last 6 months. We have to pay it back sometime … it works out. We will owe £3,000 pounds for each person in the UK. And the Government will need to borrow more.
If you are planning a holiday in Barbados (warm and sunny) then think again. Barbados thinks that the UK virus situation is risky and so anyone from UK travelling there will have to be tested and also have to go into quarantine for 2 weeks.
Here is a good one! One man living in a small village in the North West, in the Lake District. Got fed up with his slow broadband and so asked BT to supply a proper connection. So BT came along and checked it all out. Then told him it would cost £500 thousand pounds. He was not pleased – Broadband is supposed to be universal and BT have to supply it but …. only if you pay a vast amount.
