Virus numbers in the UK are increasing again – nearly 3 thousand for a second day and the Health experts are warning this is getting much worse with people coming back from holiday and having not observed social distancing.  It is also bad because schools are opening and the university students are going back as well.  Young people are now most of the cases and they are also spreading the virus.
One school in Suffolk has had 8 teachers with the virus.  90 pupils were sent home to elf isolate for 14 days.  Similar story in Liverpool, Bradford, Manchester.  The report says there are many schools with virus cases.
The Government now says that up to £3 billion in the furlough scheme may have been paid out wrongly.  This was through payment errors (company mistakes) and actual fraud – people making claims where the lied about their situation.  Now the Government has to try to find the fraud and get some money back.
Students are upset because they have arranged their accommodation near the University but are now told that there will be no lectures or on-site teaching.  All teaching is online.  They could stay at home.  But they already paid for their rent at university – this could be up to £3 thousand.  As well as that the fees for the University are over £9 thousand … for no lectures.
