UK Government gives details of the plan for Hong Kong people who have special status – British National Overseas.  From January they can apply for special visa for UK.  This can be for a five year stay in UK or two visits of 30 months.  They say this could lead to becoming a citizen of UK.  China very upset as this can affect up to 3 million Hong Kongers and their families.  Chinese Government says the people are Chinese not British.
There was a fire in an apartment block in Grenoble in France.  Two brothers aged 3 and 10 were saved when they fell or jumped from the third floor.  People in the street caught them.  They are safe but suffered from breathing the smoke.  The people who caught them had to go to hospital as well to check that they were not injured by catching the boys.
Over the last 10 years, three times more NHS paramedics had time off work because of mental health problems.  The job has high stress because of time pressure to get to accidents and to treat people with very serious injuries.
The bus company, Stagecoach, says there will be job cuts.  They say the effect of the virus will be for many years.  People are not travelling by bus.  They work from home, order things online, talk to the doctor in video calls and even children work at home instead of at school. This is a major change in UK society.
