Newspapers found out that Dominic Cummings, special adviser to Boris, had driven with his wife and child to North of England to stay with parents on a farm. Both Cummings and partner had the virus and became ill. The child had to go to hospital. This trip and a second trip were against the rules of lockdown which Boris had set. Many people said Cummings should be sacked but Boris said it was OK … just what any parent would do. People disagreed. Cummings went on TV to say he did not break rules. Now there is a big petition online to sack him as if not, people will just ignore the rules in future.
