UK health officials worried about Indian covid
Indian version can spread more easily. PM Boris says plan for June – removing all lockdowns – may be delayed. UK Government wants to give vaccine to 1 million people every day.  They want to beat the Indian Covid.  They hope to use Johnson & Johnson single dose vaccine. In UK, nearly 37 million people have their first jab and 20 million have received their second jab.  They have to increase the rate of vaccine very fast.  Sunday there were nearly 2,000 new cases.
Israel warns in advance – blows up news agency building in Gaza
No one was killed. There was one hour warning.  President Biden phoned Israel PM.   It is not acceptable to target news agencies as well as ordinary people and children. Israel bombed the house of the leader of Hamas. PM Biden does not talk to him – only a different leader with small influence.
Latest bombing in Gaza kills 42, 16 women and 10 children.  Hamas fires rockets into Israel on Sunday.  Israel refuses to stop – they say they will use full force until it is all calm.
UK Government plan to create woodlands in towns and cities
UK wants to have zero emissions by 2050. Every year, they want to plant trees in 17,000 acres, (size of 14,000 football pitches). Many people say this not enough to reduce the greenhouse gases.   In November in Glasgow, UK hosts the COP26 Conference.  The conference is about climate change in the world.  UK has to do something to show the world.
