Boris went to Scotland to meet the army.  He is telling people that UK is doing a great job with the virus.  He said the furlough scheme happens in Scotland just because they are joined up to England.  Nicola Sturgeon says he should not be celebrating the terrible effects of the virus and making a political case.  Scotland says it was not consulted about what the Government was doing and had to make up its own plans.
Research study comparing 31 countries and the state of their health care, says UK is near the bottom.  Not enough staff, equipment and buildings.  There are only 3 medics for every thousand people in the UK – this makes the UK 26^th in the league table.  UK is 20^th if we look at numbers of nurses and 29^th if we look at number of beds.  This is all because the Government has not given money to the NHS at the right time.  They say it will take 4 years to catch up on all the operations that were missed because of Corona virus.  The report is quite shocking.
