Inauguration Day!
Biden will swear in Wednesday as the new President of the USA.  He will give a major speech to ten thousand flags (?) and not so many people.  Why?  Because there are thousands of troops in Washington to prevent attacks.  Trump has refused to meet with Biden.  His officials have not been cooperating and helping the new Biden officials.  Mrs Trump has refused to show the new people around the White House.  The new Biden people are worried about the damage that has been done and they will not find out until after Wednesday.
Bobi Wine in house arrest
Another election problem.  Ugandan President for 35 years says he won the election.  Bobi Wine says it’s a fraud.  He was worried the Government would attack him.  Now they put him in house arrest.  American official went to see him and the army refused to let him in.  Uganda President says USA is interfering.
HSBC close branches
HSBC bank will close 82 branches across the UK.  They say more people now use online banking.  They will still have 511 branches.
More electric cars
Yes, it is a pandemic but there has been a big increase in electric cars.  Tesla sold 500 thousand in 2020.  And Volkswagen came next.  There was a drop in other cars.  They say electric cars are just better – there is no noise, no pollution, faster to accelerate, and cheaper to run.  The Vauxhall factory near Liverpool makes the Astra but is under threat because the Government is banning petrol cars from 2030.  They may have to switch to electric cars to keep going
