Bad news on Covid deaths
It is difficult to believe that the UK has recorded 100 thousand people who died of Covid.  Boris says the Government did everything they could.  Really?  The first lockdown started too late.  There was not enough PPE.  There was no contact tracing.  The smartphone app did not work properly.  Care homes were not supported.  There is still no quarantine system.  The Government has spent so much money. UK opened up in the summer and paid people to go out to restaurants.  Many flights go in and out of the UK so lots of people travel.  All of this made the UK the worst for deaths – one person in every 600 people.  Boris says there will be an inquiry later – no idea when.
EU is very angry about vaccine supply
The EU is not getting enough vaccine.  They say it was ordered.  Astra Zeneca claim that the EU was late to order the vaccine. EU rejects this.  The EU threatens to stop the vaccine factories in Europe sending vaccine outside of the EU.
When will they have the trial of Donal Trump?
Possibly never.  The House of Representatives voted for impeachment (a trial of Trump).  They brought the formal papers to the Senate.  But the Republican Party tried to stop this.   They made a vote and 45 out of 50 Republican senators voted against the trial.  It will still go ahead.  The problem is that to win against Trump, they will need 17 Republicans to switch (so far they have only 5).  The Senate needs a total of 67 senators to vote against Trump.  It looks unlikely.
