Worry about the test and trace scheme for dealing with the virus.  The chief operating officer told staff that the system would not be perfect to start with and it would take 3 to 4 months to be working fully.  An email from the head of Serco, the private company which has been given the contract by the Government also suggested it would not be perfect but it was important for the company to be able to show they were working with the NHS supply chain.  We assume he means it was good business for Serco.
Face masks are required for all trips on public transport in England from 15th June.  Although they are not required for children or “disabled people” this is hardly helpful to deaf people since they need to see other people’s faces.  The proposal that the masks need to be transparent is a good one but is unlikely to be possible in the time as it will require some research to find the correct materials to use.  And cost is a factor.
At the moment, only
about 40% of people wear masks.  In some areas it is down to 10%.  Other countries, everyone wears masks. The case of Madeleine McCann is now being investigated by the German police.  They believe they have a man in prison for crimes against children, who was in the place in Portugal where the girl disappeared.  They are still asking for witnesses.  Sadly, they think that Madeleine is not alive.
