You must wear a mask
Morrisons (and Tesco and Sainsbury) say they will refuse entry to people who are not wearing masks.  Staff are supposed to stop people and to give them masks to wear.  If they refuse, they will not be allowed to go in.  People point out that there are many non-essential shops (like garden centres) and kiosks (like coffee sellers) which are still open and people just gather there.
Risk of violence in the USA
The FBI have warned all the 50 States in the USA that there is a risk of people with guns attacking the State building, in the next two weeks.  Many ordinary people who appear in interviews say that the election was stolen.  They say they will not accept Biden.  The technology companies have banned Trump from Twitter and Facebook.  They have also closed down Parler; another place where violent messages are posted.
Free data for home learning
From the end of January, if you have BT Mobile, EE, and Plusnet Mobile you can use BBC Bitesize for free. Bitesize has lessons in Maths and English for all year groups and also other materials from the curriculum.  This will help kids who do not have good Internet connections but who have smartphones.  Other mobile companies will probably agree to this.
China new bullet train
China has a new fast train which can run in very cold conditions (down to minus 40 degrees).  It can hit top speed of 217 mph. That would be London to Glasgow in just over an hour and a half.
