The EU President says the EU will do it best to have a deal with the UK by December, but the EU will stick to its main values and rules for fair competition.  She says the discussions are very difficult.  They are halfway through the time to talk but not nearly halfway on the main issues.  President Macron of France is due in London Thursday, to honour 4 war heroes and have talks.
The new drug discovered in UK, announced yesterday is only for the most serious cases.  The World Health Organisation is saying.  It will not solve the problem of the spread of the virus.
Germany launched its smartphone app this week.  The British app, supposed to be launched in May is not going to be ready until winter.
Universities in UK are waiting today to find out if students will accept the places to begin study in September/October. They say today is a deadline to accept but 65 thousand have not yet decided.
Although the official UK deaths from virus is 42 thousand, the actual level is over 50 thousand but including the extra deaths over normal times, it is nearly 65 thousand.
