A drug which available at the chemist is discovered to reduce the deaths of people who are in hospital on oxygen by about one third.  This will have a big impact.  Spelling might be an issue:  it is called dexamethasone and it is available across the world already.  They say the research was done in the UK.
Universities are worried that students will not attend this year because the lectures are going online.  Now most Universities say there will be some person to person tutoring.  There will also be sports and social activities.  They are trying to persuade students to come to University this year.
Face masks now have to be worn in hospitals and care.  But this goes against the Accessible Information Standard Directive which requires the medics to adjust to the needs of patients – in this case deaf people who will not be able to lipread or understand emotions in the nursing staff.  Deaf charities are complaining and say masks should have a clear panel around the mouth.  Since people have to make their own masks at home, or use the hospital ones, the chance of getting a big change to clear masks, is low.
People who are shielding are confused about what is happening.  The lockdown is relaxing and shops are opening, but people who are vulnerable – older people or who have a health condition – have just been told to continue to stay at home.  That is already 3 months and they think they have been forgotten.  Will they be able to go out in July?
