Care homes are now furious
because Boris has said that many care homes did not follow the guidelines.  But there were different guidelines almost every day and at short notice and not enough equipment to make the changes and anyway, 25 thousand people were sent out of hospital without checking if they had the virus.  The staff who worked very hard to support their residents are insulted by Boris’s words.  Later there was an announcement that he did not mean it that way.
The situation in Hong Kong got worse as the new law came into place and people started to get arrested.  Many countries complain as China is breaking the agreement with Britain to keep Hong Kong free.  UK Government says up to 3 million Hong Kongers could have rights to be in the UK or have UK passports.  Also pressure on UK Government to complain about the lack of virus information and the treatment of minority groups.  And Boris may have to U-turn and not accept Huawei company to be part of 5G mobile network.  Chinese ambassador threatens that if these happen it would be bad for Britain.  Serious argument developing.
A list of people mainly from Russia and Saudi Arabia have been put on a sanction list by the UK.  This means they cannot come to the UK and they cannot buy houses in the UK or deal with banks in the UK.  This could be an issue for private schools as many rich people send their children to the UK for boarding school.  UK made the list because they say Russians were involved in killings and false information and the Saudis were involved in the murder of a journalist.
