Riots in Tunisia
People really suffer in Tunisia.  Pandemic means foreigners do not go on holiday there.  People are really poor.  Government tries to lockdown against the virus.  But people go out on the streets to protest.  It is 10 years since they had big protests and got rid of the Government.  They say life has not got better for ordinary people.  Troops arrested over 600 people.  They were throwing stones.  One third of young people have no work.  Food prices have gone up.  The problems will continue.
Large number abandon WhatsApp
It looks like millions of people of people have quit WhatsApp.  Why?  Facebook (they own WhatApp and Instagram) decided on a new policy.  Many people believe their data and what they say in WhatsApp is not private any more.  They say Facebook uses their information.  They do not want that.  Last week 17.8 million people downloaded “Signal” app and 15.7 million downloaded “Telegram” app.  Lots of others went to “Threema” – that’s mostly for Germans.  Facebook has delayed the policy change.  They have to think again.
Kenya no vaccine yet
Kenya situation is bad.  They have 32 deaths of health workers, more than 3,000 have the virus.  Medical workers are now on strike – the pay is bad, not enough PPE and no sign of the vaccine so far.
No-ski winter
Most deaf people in the UK head off to the ski slopes every winter.  What?  Well maybe some deaf do.  Really frustrating as France, Germany and Italy most ski resorts are closed due to Covid.  Frustrating …because this year is fantastic for snow.  Like Boris says:  stay home, wax your skis, save the money.
