Nurses threaten to strike.  The government has offered   1% pay rise.  The health community says this is insulting.  They suggest a slow hand clap for the NHS to show how unhappy they are.  Most of the public agree.  The Health Secretary says this is all they can afford. The proposal has to go to a pay review board.  It looks like the Government will have to back down.
Covid cases are reducing in most areas.  There are 5,000 new cases on Sunday.  In total, there are 124 thousand deaths.  More than 22 million people in UK have had the first jab.  Nearly 11 thousand people are in hospital.
EU threatens to sue the UK because it is changing the Northern Ireland agreement.  UK decided on its own to reduce checks on food from UK to Northern Ireland.  EU says this breaks international law.  UK says it is just a minor “easing”.  DUP party blame Boris and the EU.  The Irish Government are angry.
Staff at Buckingham palace complain that Meghan Duchess of Sussex, bullied them when she was at the Palace.  The complaints are coming now because of the Oprah Winfrey interview with Meghan on TV on Sunday and Monday.
