You will be able to rent an E-Scooter in Birmingham this week.    These are stand-on scooters (like kids scooters) but they have an electric motor which has to be charged up.    They say it will be £1 to unlock and 20p per mile.  It can travel at 15 mph.  This is a new experiment for the UK.
Most schools have opened now and they say that at least 80% of children had come back.  At the same time, Health experts say the real problem is coming soon with universities and colleges when their students come back.  There is pressure on the Universities to only have online teaching and not lectures with large groups.  The virus is now affecting more and more young people but those under 30 years old do not seem to need special medical treatment.
You might remember that the Boris said there will be a big programme so that pupils can catch up on the lessons they missed.  He promised money for extra tutors to go into school.  It turns out that this will not happen until next year and will not be working fully until after Easter.  Too late, say a lot of head teachers.
On Saturday, demonstrators from the Far Right, Football Supporters (hooligans) and from Neo-nazi groups sat down on the main road into Dover and blocked all the traffic.  They were protesting about immigrants – they say England should not let people arrive across the Channel.  They were a few hundred but they managed to stop the traffic until the police moved them away into town where they ended up in the pubs
