Health report now says that virus cases are spreading again into care homes.  The report says that it is bad in care homes in Bristol, Nottinghamshire, Wiltshire and Wolverhampton.  At the moment, tests in care homes are taking nearly 3 days to come back – too long to stop the virus spreading.
The Government says they have a huge virus test programme.  But now the figures show that there is a backlog of over 185 thousand tests waiting to be processed in the labs.  Many tests are being sent to Italy and Germany because the labs in the UK can’t cope.  Government says they can test 375 thousand every day but in fact, only about 60 thousand are getting through the system each day.
The RSPCA has closed four centres and has lost hundreds of jobs. This will affect people with pets who cannot get treatment for the animals.  But RSPCA say they have a huge financial loss and have to cut costs.
ARM, the company which makes the special chips inside your smartphone has been sold to the American company Nvidia.  ARM is based in Cambridge and has been a great success in developing the very advanced technology in mobile phones.  It is very important in the field of Artificial Intelligence.  It was taken over before but it was able to continue to work and expand.  Now there are worries that it will be gobbled up by the Americans and all the profits will go to USA.
