Scientists now say virus deaths would be half if they had lockdown one week before.  Boris refused to accept that in meeting yesterday.
Labour party very critical that Government had not properly planned for schools to re-open.  Now many children have missed out on a lot of learning.  It is not even certain that schools will re-open in September.
Mayors of London, Manchester, Sheffield and Liverpool say that local councils will go bust and services will have to stop.  They say council tax and what businesses pay and other income form car parks etc, are all falling due to the virus.  So councils do not have money.  Government says they will be supported but the Mayors say there is no progress and the situation is critical.
Bristol Council has collected the statue of Edward Colston from the harbour and has removed it to a secret location.  They say it will be kept in a Museum to show information about local history.
Coronation Street hit by the virus – really, yes.  From 24th July, new series will have the effect of the virus on the street.  New filming started this week – actors kept apart, no kissing and no one over 70 years.
