Mountain volunteer, Chris Lewis was injured from falling. He was helping 2 campers who broke Covid rules. The campers were fined £200 each. Chris is in intensive care with bad spine and face problems. Over 48 hours 20,000 people donated more than £500,000 to help him with his future. Maybe Chris will stay in hospital for 12 months.
Captain Sir Tom Moore’s family hid horrible messages (trolling) from social media about him and his family. Tom Moore died 2 weeks ago. He would have been heartbroken if he knew. He raised £33 million for NHS. The family is still grieving for him and he was very positive to the end.
BBC has told people over 75 years they must pay for their TV licence fees. It was free last August.People on pension credit benefit will get a free licence. BBC knows the pandemic affected everyone but they can pay in instalments.
Grenfell cladding failed the safety test. The boss of the French company, Arconic accepted that they did not give the full truth about the tests. The cladding should have not been allowed. It burns too easily. The result affects many other buildings with the same cladding.
