Minister says the cases are getting less and the tests are increasing (see the graphs).

The figures reported are over the weekend and there are usually less sent in on the weekend.
Contact tracers are not doing much at present. Government says it is better to have too many than to have too few. There have been 9,000 new cases since the test and trace began, but Government does not know how many of these have been traced and tracked.
Jacob Rees-Mogg, the leader of the House of Commons, wants to stop MPs voting from home. If other MPs agree it, MPs will have to form long queues in order to obey physical distancing rules when they vote. Many MPs say it discriminates against shielding (social isolating) members and is a threat to staff.
Spain says no to British holidaymakers as they are not happy that the virus is under control in the UK. Anyway, British people coming home would still have to be in quarantine for 14 days …. In the UK.
