Over 300 MPs voted against giving free school meals to children during the school holidays.  The campaign by Marcus Rashford to stop hunger in children when they are not at school was not accepted by Parliament.  Nearly 400 thousand people signed a petition to help children.  But the MPs ignored it.
The EU has voted through a new Agriculture policy and budget which makes it easier for farmers to avoid stricter environment controls.  Greta Thunberg (from Sweden) has said this is a terrible decision because it makes it harder to reduce global warming and means Europe will go backwards instead of forwards to make the planet safer.
Interested in animals?  The zoo keepers in Bristol are having to feed and look after a two-month old baby gorilla as its mother is not able to feed.  So the staff have to keep the baby in the same cages as the other gorillas or else the gorillas will reject the baby if it has the wrong smell.  They work goes on 24 hours a day … until the baby can feed itself.  Kids are hard work.
