UK now has more deaths than any other country in Europe.  Science expert says Government should have tested much earlier. Compared to South Korea where lots of testing from the start and then tracking people with virus, UK is well behind.
Germany has 80 million people but only has around 7,000 people die; UK has 66 million people but has 29,000 die.  Probably more if include all the care homes.
There are big problems at Gatwick airport as British Airways is cutting thousands of jobs and now Virgin Atlantic is also cutting thousands.  They say air passengers will not get back to normal until 2023.   Other airlines may go out of business.
Interesting … now less people have heart attacks and go to hospital.  May be because of less stress; people don’t have to go to work and at home maybe take more exercise.  Fitbit (activity tracker on the wrist) shows that people’s heart rate is lower at the moment.  Also due to cleaner air because of less traffic.
Boris Johnson to announce on Sunday what plans there are for ending the lockdown.  Everyone agrees this will take time.  Two thirds of people in UK are worried if we go back to work too early.  Schools say that classrooms are not suited to social distance – desks and tables are too close together.  The schools also say that many teachers maybe a quarter of teachers have to stay home because of children or elderly relatives with some symptoms.
