In March, the advice was to call 111 if you had a temperature and a cough. But other symptoms were ignored. Doctors knew that often people lost the sense of smell and taste, some days before the high temperature. But NHS 111 told people not to worry if they reported the loss of taste and smell. Now after other countries and the WHO , finally UK has said that this is a symptom and should be reported.
Big issue: we had lockdown to stay home and save the NHS. But it is now reported that for many people it was the NHS which was the source of the virus. People who went into hospital for other reasons, actually caught the virus in hospital. Although the Government knew about this, it was 5 weeks before they told all the hospitals that this was happening.
Groups of up to six people who do not share a household in Northern Ireland can now meet outdoors. Garden centres and recycling centres are open. Churches can open for private prayer and some sports, such as golf and tennis, can restart.
