Nuclear weapons – Figures may not be accurate but most nuclear weapons are Russia (6 thousand) USA (5 thousand), China (320), France (290) and UK (195).  PM Boris now wants to increase the number to 260.  The Government wants to be able to fight against other countries if necessary.  The special review says that Russia is a threat to security of the UK.  China is a threat to UK economy.  Conservative MPs are not happy.  Labour says the UK is ignoring bad human rights in China.  There is a lot of other criticism by organisations that do not want nuclear weapons.  They say UK is breaking international law by increasing nuclear weapons.  They say UK should be looking more at climate change and bad information on social media.
European Medicines Agency is telling countries that Oxford vaccine is safe to use.  Risks are very small.  The World Health Organisation says countries have to continue with the vaccines.
Nokia, the mobile phone company, will cut up to 10 thousand jobs across the world.  There may only be 100 job losses in the UK.  At one time, Nokia were the biggest phone company but they did not develop touch screen phones with internet connection.  Other phones like i-phone and Samsung Galaxy became more popular.
Mars water mystery?  Scientists say that there was a lot of water on the planet Mars.  Some of it escaped into space.  They think lots more was frozen under the surface of the planet.  This happened 4 billion years ago …before you were born!
